Bonded Frameless Windows from Lippert Components
Bonded Frameless Windows from Lippert Components™ Gaining Popularity
-- Lippert Components, Inc. (LCI™) reports growing use of its bonded, frameless windows in travel trailer and fifth-wheel recreational vehicle designs during the last 12 months. "It's all about styling with this product line," said LCI Vice President of Sales Andy Murray. "Bonded frameless windows create a cleaner, more automotive look and cleaner lines on the outside of the RV while streamlining the sidewall." "Initially, the product was a high-end feature, but now it's used on mid-priced products, and more and more on motorized products," continued Murray.
"In order to support this growing trend, LCI has made significant investments in people, facilities and equipment over the past 12 months. Some of the most notable are a 130,000 square foot dedicated frameless window facility which will include its own in-house glass processing and tempering operation, the first if its kind in our industry."
In addition to travel trailer and fifth-wheel RV windows, LCI's window products include: Truck cap windows Bus windows, including activity bus windows, egress activity bus windows, and electronic switch windows Cargo trailer windows Horse trailer windows including drop down feed windows, drop down insert windows, side slider windows, and living quarter windows Commercial vehicle windows About Lippert Components

Dometic Introduces the Brisk II Air Conditioner for RVs by Dometic Group ELKHART, Ind.
Dometic Group announced the release of its Brisk II Air Conditioner, the latest version of Dometic’s most popular and most imitated air conditioner for recreational vehicles (RVs). The Brisk II offers a 15% air flow increase, and is 19% lighter than previous models, making it the smallest 13.5K rooftop unit available. “Taking the best from Dometic's global expert air conditioning knowledge base, we are releasing the Brisk II - a stronger, lighter, smaller and more environmentally friendly RV air conditioner than any other on the market,” said Dave Schutz, Vice President of RV OEM Sales and Marketing, Dometic Americas.
“The Brisk II uses its innovative design, tighter specification allowances and improved materials to maximize air flow and performance.” The Brisk II is easy to install and maintain, with a high-performance motor and fan. Its EPP foam housing reduces weight and increases cooling. Rounded edges increase air flow, and fan motor sound dampening brackets reduce noise and vibration. The unit weighs 72 pounds, and has a 2.7 kW fan speed.
The Brisk II unit offers tighter tolerances for improved fit and finish between shroud and evaporator cover. Its press fit evaporator cover eliminates fasteners for improved service access, and its custom composite Korad shroud is laminated to provide UV protection. The sturdy design includes a three-inch deep-drawn G 90 carbon steel drain pan with powder-coated finish for durability, and larger air openings for improved air flow and cooling performance. The edges are roll-formed, and the enclosed wrap-around base pan and shroud add strength and protect the coils.
